Set on Paulina Lake in La Pine, Paulina Lake Lodge And Resort offers rustic cabins with wood fireplaces and a balcony with a lake view in select units. Guests have access to a restaurant, a store, and live music on Saturdays during summer.

Cabins & Amenities

Each cabin is heated solely by a wood fireplace; guests must chop their own kindling. Kitchens have basic equipment and scratched teflon pots, with no spices, oil, foil, or baking sheets. Water is sulphuric, so guests should bring their own drinking water.

Dining & On-Site Options

The on-site restaurant serves dinner including prime rib on Saturdays (reservation required) and a $6 margarita special with a taco bar on Wednesdays. The store stocks chips, drinks, and 16oz water bottles, open 10:00-2:00.

Activities & Surroundings

Watercraft rentals include kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and boats. Paulina Falls is a 0.5 km hike from the resort, and hot springs are 4 km away. Winter access requires a snowcat, and live music is held on summer Saturdays.

Parking and boat launch are free. Redmond Municipal Airport is 83 km from the property. The walkways are gravel and dirt, not wheelchair-friendly. Guests praised staff friendliness but noted some service inconsistencies.
